You're that deep late summer smell
Like a thunderstorm rolling in
A sickly seagreen sky
Birds at the beach
A late night meet up
The hum of an electric neon sign
I think about how impressed you'd be
With my tolerance now
How in your absence
I've become more like you
Letting you go
required me to learn to let go
At least there was a takeaway
